Presentation updates the CERES Science team on the status of the FLASHFlux working group progress toward v4A. There is also a description of new sorts of ways the data are being used.
This presentation describes progress made since the last CERES Science team meeting by the SOFA and FLASHFlux working groups. FLASHFlux continues operational data set production under Version3C and is working toward a delivery of Version4A which is currently processing through 2019. Once evaluation and validation activities are complete Version 4A will become the new operational version with a goal of completing the transition in July 2019. Differences between FF v4A and CERES Ed 4 SSF appear to be due to differences in the calibration coefficients and differences in ADM selection due to the influence of a different background meteorological data set. Additional future plans for the FLASHFlux working group will be discussed.
This presentation provides an update for the SOFA and FLASHFlux working groups for the virtual CERES Science Team meeting. Recent changes to the TSI production are noted and a status of FLASHFlux production, distribution, usage and validation are provided.
This presentation provides an overview of the progress made by the FLASHFlux working group within the CERES Science Team. FLASHFlux is maintaining operations, continuing validation, migration production code for future production systems, and evaluating new inputs for their impacts on the current radiative flux data products. FLASHFlux data products continue to be served to the community and comprise the low latency solar and thermal infrared data products provided to the energy and agricultural communities at relatively low latency for global gridded data fluxes. (< 7days).
The FLASHFLux (FF) working group of CERES continues to process Terra and Aqua data to produce a FF SSF product in 3-4 days and a FF TISA product in 5-7 days. This talk describes the working group focus and progress made since the last CERES Science team meeting. The most frequent usage of the FF daily solar flux estimates is in technologies related to solar power production and system maintenance.
