Genome-sequenced bacterial collection from sorghum aerial root mucilage

ABSTRACT A collection of 47 bacteria isolated from the mucilage of aerial roots of energy sorghum is available at the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center, Michigan State University, Michigan, USA. We enriched bacteria with putative plant-beneficial phenotypes and included information on phenotypic diversity, taxonomy, and whole genome sequences.

Genome-sequenced bacterial collection from sorghum epicuticular wax

ABSTRACT A collection of 44 isolates isolated from the epicuticular wax of stems of energy sorghum is available at the Great Lakes Bioenergy Researcher Center, Michigan State University, MI, USA. We enriched bacteria with putative plant-beneficial phenotypes and include information on their phenotypic diversity, taxonomy, and whole-genome sequences.

Draft Genome Sequences of Switchgrass Diazotrophs

We report the draft genome sequences of five native nitrogen-fixing bacteria associated with roots of switchgrass isolated from the Tallgrass Prairies of Oklahoma. Nitrogen-fixing genes, including the nif cluster, are conserved across the Klebsiella and Kosakonia strains.

Complete Genome Sequences of Four Natural Pseudomonas Isolates That Catabolize a Wide Range of Aromatic Compounds Relevant to Lignin Valorization

Many soil microorganisms have evolved catabolic strategies to utilize phenolic compounds arising from depolymerized lignin. We report the complete genome sequences of four Pseudomonas sp. isolates that demonstrated robust growth on a wide range of aromatic monomers and dimers that are relevant to the valorization of lignin into value-added chemicals.
