Sample 67215c is a ferroan anorthosite clast with an age of 4.4 Ga and a positive Nd. The sample has a well preserved microcumulate texture. Relatively rapid cooling rates coupled with preserved pigeonite are consistent with a shallow (<1 km) origin. Additional information is contained in the original extended abstract.
Pasamonte is an unequilibrated eucrite with finely exsolved (nanometer scale) pigeonites and augites showing a primary magmatic zoning trend. Fractured grains show a unique pattern of zoning consistent with metasomatism by a Fe-rich fluid/melt. Additional information is contained in the original extended abstract.
Fe-Mg site occupancy determinations of orthopyroxene from troctolite 76535 yield closure temperatures of ordering of 500-550 C and cooling rates of 1-10 C per year corresponding to shallow burial. 76535 was excavated from deep lunar crust before it had cooled to approx. 550 C.
