Li-ion Identification For the Next Generation of Cathode Recycling
OnTo’s end-to-end solution will demonstrate (in partnership/collaboration with relevant industries) collection of lithium-ion batteries through recycling of cathode material. The DISCC project will prototype 1) deactivation of batteries 2) identification 3) sorting using automated techniques, 4) cutting with waterjet technology and 5) Cathode-Healing™ to produce valuable cathodes from scrap batteries.
