Initial-computer-program-loading system provides startup information to all embedded data processors (EDP's) in general-purpose computer system. Remote processors given image of startup diskette so real local diskette and drive unneeded. System less complex and equipment costs less. Additional benefit, initial program loading tests bus. If boot-up program transmitted correctly, bus assumed to be operating properly.
Micro Channel/Multibus-II interface circuit provides electrical interconnections enabling communications between Micro Channels of IBM Personal System/2 computers and IEEE 1296 standard Multibus-II parallel system bus (iPSB). Made mostly of commercially available parts, interface enables independent Micro Channels to communicate over iPSB without modification.
Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) communication test bus provides high-data-rate, standard interconnection enabling communication among International Business Machines (IBM) Personal System/2 Micro Channel, other devices connected to Micro Channel, test equipment, and host computer. Serves primarily as nonintrusive input/output attachment to PS/2 Micro Channel bus, providing rapid communication for debugger. Opens up possibility of using debugger in real-time applications.
