input4MIPs: Making [CMIP] model forcing more transparent
Here, the new input4MIPs initiative to collect, archive and document CMIP6 "forcing" datasets facilitates modeling groups to generate climate simulations of the past, present and future. Better provenance and comprehensive documentation will improve consistency, reproducibility, and traceability of model results moving forward.
