Reactor Walkway Design for Gear Box Support Beam Removal
The walkway over the reactor is intended to be used in the core internal changeout (CIC) outage to replace the gear box suport beams. (GBSB) The current configuration of the in-tank platform prevents easily discharging the GBSB to the canal through the drop chute. The walkway's purpose is to increase operators access to the south irration deck, where the GBSB will be put into discharge cans, as well as the drop chute.
