Nuclear structure and band mixing in Pt 194

We introduce a two-particle, two-hole mixed configuration scheme to fit E2 strengths for the 0 ↔ 2, 2 ↔ 4, and 4 ↔ 6 transitions in 194 Pt. The interaction includes two sets of pairing operators, {S ± (t), S 0 (t)} (t = s, d). Solutions within this framework are used to analyze energy spectra, E2 transitions, and band-mixing features of the model. The results confirm that mixing is small and similar for J = 2, 4, and 6, with the calculated energies and transition matrix elements in excellent agreement with experimental data.

Band mixing in 96,98 Mo isotopes *

Abstract We use the two lowest weight states to fit E 2 strengths connecting the and transitions in Mo. Our results confirm that the and states are maximally mixed, and that the states are weakly mixed in both nuclei. An appropriate Hamiltonian to represent the band mixing is found to be exactly solvable, and its eigenstates can be expressed as the basis vectors in the configuration mixing scheme and interacting boson model. The interacting boson model and coexistence mixing configuration under the solvable methods are suitable models for analyzing the band mixing with high accuracy.

Chaos and regularity of radionuclides with maximum likelihood estimation method

Abstract In this study, we considered the fluctuation properties of some energy levels of even and odd mass radionuclides, which are used in complex phenomena. Different sequences are prepared by using all the available experimental data and analyzed by using the maximum likelihood estimation technique to get the chaoticity parameter of Abul-magd distribution. The dependence of chaoticity degrees of different radionuclides to their mass regions, their decay modes, and also their physical half-lives are studied. Our results show more chaotic behavior of odd-mass radionuclides in comparison with even–even mass and also the most Poisson-like behavior for even–even mass in the A > 150 mass region. The results offer the most regular behavior for long-lived, even mass radionuclides in comparison to other categories of half-lives. Also, we got an obvious difference between the chaoticity degrees for nuclei which undergo β + decay in comparison with radionuclides which show electron capture mode.
