Radioactive Plume Avoidance and Aircraft Decontamination – Best Practices

Response to an incident involving the release of radioactive material will most likely involve aircraft for disaster relief and radiological monitoring. Contamination is avoidable, and decontamination is possible, but both require planning and forethought.
