Discovery of Four Field Methane (T-type) Dwarfs with 2MASS

We report the discovery of four field methane (T-type) brown dwarfs using 2MASS survey data. One additional methane dwarf, previously discovered by SDSS, was also identified.

A next generation microdensitometer?

Motivations for construction of a next generation microdensitometer (NGM) are presented and their effect on the NGM design is discussed. A prototype of such an engine has been constructed at KPNO. Its design and performance is reviewed.
