Pu metal is dissolved in 6 M HCl & 10 M HNO 3 . ICP-MS aliquots are taken directly from the solvate. Pu is removed from solution with AG-MP1 resin
The Actinide Analytical Chemistry (CAAC) group at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) uses the LabWare LIMS (LabWare 7) system to manage our samples and material at risk. The LIMS system also provides other functionality which the Plasma Spectroscopy (PS) team has developed along with our LIMS team to provide streamlining and automation of all sample related actions required by PS.
