Cryogenics (from the Greek word κρυος, meaning frost or icy cold) is the study of the effects and behavior of materials at very low temperature. This course is designed to provide trainees with an introduction to cryogen use, hazards associated with cryogen systems, cryogen safety components, and the requirements that govern the design and use of cryogen systems at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
