It's OK to be a Control Freak: Deploying machine learning algorithms and model-based controllers for WRRF optimization
Hybrid models are powerful predictors of performance in Water Resource Recovery Facilities (WRRFs). When used in controllers, hybrid models can help inform manipulated variable setpoints in feedforward controllers. This idea was tested for chlorine disinfection and ammonia-based aeration control.
