FLOP for FLAG Output Plotting

The Los Alamos hydrodynamics code, FLAG, is capable of dumping many types of output for many different variables in an array of formats. While some outputs are best viewed in a multidimensional engineering analysis visualization software, others are best viewed as 1-D “this versus that” curves. During development of a FLAG model, it is frequently required to quickly assess a model’s performance by reviewing such curves, and doing so may involve writing scripts repeatedly, adapting them each time to a specific model’s parameters. This report describes an application developed specifically to improve user efficiency in reviewing 1-D curve dumps from FLAG.

The ENDF/B-VIII.0 Compendium Volume I: Neutron Cross Section Plots

Version 8 of the Evaluated Nuclear Data File (ENDF/B-VIII.0) contains a wealth of nuclear data representing the most recent collection of evaluated neutron cross section measurements, isotopic radioactive decay, and much more. This Compendium has been prepared as a easily-navigable reference of the contents of the ENDF/B-VIII.0 library, while making no statement regarding the accuracy of those contents. The Compendium is split into four volumes.

The ENDF/B-VIII.0 Compendium Volume IV: Radioactive Decay Rank-Order Analyses

Version 8 of the Evaluated Nuclear Data File (ENDF/B-VIII.0) contains a wealth of nuclear data representing the most recent collection of evaluated neutron cross section measurements, isotopic radioactive decay, and much more. This Compendium has been prepared as a easily-navigable reference of the contents of the ENDF/B-VIII.0 library, while making no statement regarding the accuracy of those contents. The Compendium is split into four volumes. In Volume IV, radioactive decay properties are presented in tabular form, sorted by isotope, energy, element-then- energy, and probability of emission.

The ENDF/B-VIII.0 Compendium Volume II: Neutron Cross Section Rank-Order Analyses

Volume II presents a series of tables of reaction cross section values for thermal (0.025 eV), fission (1 MeV), and fusion (14 MeV) energies, each sorted by cross section value, isotope, and element-then-isotope to facilitate quick searches.

The U.S. Nuclear Test History

This paper describes a desktop application designed to introduce users to unclassified information for the series of nuclear experiments conducted by the United States, colloquially referred to within the nuclear weapons design community as simply, the “Test History.” The application facilitates simple browsing (by name, by date, and MMDD date code), and more complex analyses based on user-defiend relational database queries.
