CO 2 cleavage by tantalum/M (M = iridium, osmium) heterobimetallic complexes

A novel Ta/Os complex [Ta(CH 2 t Bu) 3 (μ-H) 3 OsCp*], and its iridium analogue [Ta(CH 2 t Bu) 3 (μ-H) 2 IrCp*], efficiently cleave CO 2 under mild conditions, forming tantalum oxo species and CpIr(CO)H 2 or CpOs(CO)H 3 .

Photolysis-driven bond activation by thorium and uranium tetraosmate polyhydride complexes

We report the synthesis of actinide–osmium polyhydrides and demonstrate their ability to promote photo-induced intra- and intermolecular C–H activation.

A versatile strategy for the formation of hydride-bridged actinide–iridium multimetallics

Uranium- and thorium-iridium multimetallic species with unprecedented actinide–iridium interactions are prepared via salt-elimination reactions between U/Th halides and K[IrCp*H 3 ].
