Studies with satellite radiometer data

Abstract

The application of satellite radiometer data for analyzing and predicting global winds is discussed. The data obtained from the vertical temperature profile radiometer of the ITOS D satellite are described. The development of a nine level model for analyzing the physical properties of radiative transfer and cloud effects in the atmosphere is presented. Comparisons are made between various methods of applying the satellite radiometer data.
