Annular apertures with high obstruction
Abstract
Consideration of the effects of annular apertures on the irradiance distribution in aberration-free images. It is demonstrated that annular apertures with higher ratios of central obstruction produce a significant change in the distribution of irradiance and total energy over the image radii. Calculations and diagrams are included to support this conclusion.
