Abstract

The objectives, scope, and status of the NASA Quiet, Clean, Short-Haul Experimental Engine program are reviewed. The progress reported is concerned with engine design concepts for short-haul aircraft where part of the engine thrust is used to help lift the aircraft. Both under-the-wing, and over-the-wing configurations are discussed.
