Abstract
Research is summarized on surface studies (work functions of different LaB6 surfaces), plasma studies, converter development (tungsten emitter, nickel collector and tungsten emitter La B6 collector), and hot shell development for using thermionic converters in the topping cycle of fossil-fuel plants.
