Abstract
Areas of the NASA global positioning system (GPS) related programs including satellite/navigation tracking, shuttle applications, land/sea applications, and civil aviation applications are described. The development of technologies for the GPS such as high precision RNAV, a collision warning/avoidance system, and an automated position, velocity, identification reporting system is discussed.
