Advanced turboprop potential for high speed
Abstract
A turboprop propulsion system for general aviation aircraft, allowing high speed flight (to 0.8 Mach) is discussed. Design methodologies for aerodynamic and acoustic considerations and the performance and cost advantages of a prop-fan aircraft are presented.
