Advanced techniques for transverse vorticity measurements
Abstract
A four wire array of probes is used to determine the velocity components, their derivatives, and the transverse vorticity in a small (approximately 1 x 1 mm) spatial domain. The algorithms that define this calculation scheme and the extended considerations: compensating for minor calibration changes, uncertainty considerations, and the determination of excessive pitch angles in the data set, are presented.
