Tracking requirements to support space very long baseline interferometry
Abstract
The use of VLBI with a radio telescope in space is exmained. The concept of space VLBI and Soviet, Japanese, and U.S./European studies for developing space VLBI observatories are reviewed. The proposed NASA/ESA Quasat mission is described, including the potential ground tracking sites for high earth orbiters.
