Abstract
Acceptable quantum efficiency obtained without back illumination and back-side thinning. NEW CCD technology referred to as "open-pinned-phase" (OPP) invented to unite best attributes of multiphase and virtual-phase technologies. Delivers high front-side sensitivity in conjunction with ultralow-signal-level performance.
