Simplified Modeling Of A Helicopter
Abstract
Report discusses development of minimum-complexity mathematical model of helicopter for use in flight simulator. Development motivated by computational delays, costs, long development times, and inflexibility of sophisticated models now in use. New model overcomes these disadvantages and provides better engineering understanding of those features pertaining to handling qualities apparent to pilot who uses simulator.
