Numerical modelling of electrostatic and electromagnetic positioners for microgravity containerless processing
Abstract
Numerical, three-dimensional, finite-difference and finite-element models of electrostatic and electromagnetic positioners are developed. These models allow a better understanding of the effects of the positioner on the sample during processing in microgravity and provide an engineering tool for optimizing the design of these positioners.
