Errant-Satellite Simulator
Abstract
Report describes errant-satellite simulator - machine simulating, in normal gravitational environment of Earth, inertial properties and behavior of spinning artificial satellite floating in outer space near another spacecraft. Designed for use in training astronauts to retrieve or repair satellites with help of remote manipulator arm, or with extravehicular activities (EVA).
