Carbon Planets
Abstract
Stellar remnants present unique environments for planet formation, and may host companions with exotic chemistries, like planets made substantially of carbon. I'll provide an overview of carbon planet theory: chemistry, structure and formation scenerios. I'll also describe some recent observations of stellar remnants that have yielded candidate carbon planets.
