The Mars Ingenuity Helicopter – A Victory for Open-Source Software
Abstract
The Ingenuity Mars Helicopter completed a highly successful demonstration of powered flight and scouting on the surface of Mars. F Prime, JPL's open-source flight software framework, contributed to that success. This paper will detail the architecture of the flight software and the application of this framework to the Mars Helicopter mission.
