Materials Data on Na3SiH5O6 by Materials Project
Abstract
Na3SiH5O6 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbca space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are three inequivalent Na1+ sites. In the first Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to one H1+ and four O2- atoms. The Na–H bond length is 2.40 Å. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.35–2.50 Å. In the second Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded to five O2- atoms to form distorted NaO5 square pyramids that share a cornercorner with one SiO4 tetrahedra and an edgeedge with one SiO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.35–2.42 Å. In the third Na1+ site, Na1+ is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to five O2- atoms. There are a spread of Na–O bond distances ranging from 2.33–2.74 Å. Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form SiO4 tetrahedra that share a cornercorner with one NaO5 square pyramid and an edgeedge with one NaO5 square pyramid. There are a spread of Si–O bond distances ranging from 1.62–1.71 Å. There are five inequivalent H1+ sites. In the first H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one O2- atom. The H–O bond length is 0.98 Å. In the second H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a linear geometry to two O2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.04 Å) and one longer (1.53 Å) H–O bond length. In the third H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to one Na1+ and two O2- atoms. There is one shorter (1.02 Å) and one longer (1.62 Å) H–O bond length. In the fourth H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one O2- atom. The H–O bond length is 1.00 Å. In the fifth H1+ site, H1+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one O2- atom. The H–O bond length is 1.01 Å. There are six inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted water-like geometry to two Na1+ and two H1+ atoms. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to four Na1+ and one Si4+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted water-like geometry to two Na1+ and two H1+ atoms. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 5-coordinate geometry to three Na1+, one Si4+, and one H1+ atom. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 4-coordinate geometry to two Na1+, one Si4+, and one H1+ atom. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Na1+, one Si4+, and one H1+ atom.
