Materials Data on PrSm3 by Materials Project
Abstract
Sm3Pr is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sm is bonded to eight equivalent Sm and four equivalent Pr atoms to form SmPr4Sm8 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent SmPr4Sm8 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent PrSm12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent SmPr4Sm8 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent PrSm12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent SmPr4Sm8 cuboctahedra. All Sm–Sm bond lengths are 3.66 Å. All Sm–Pr bond lengths are 3.66 Å. Pr is bonded to twelve equivalent Sm atoms to form PrSm12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent PrSm12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent SmPr4Sm8 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent PrSm12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent SmPr4Sm8 cuboctahedra.
