Tutorial Papers on Greenhouse Effect
Abstract
The first paper [1], dealing with Earth’s natural greenhouse effect, presents an overview of Earth’s radiation budget and of Earth’s climate system, followed by an examination of the role of the greenhouse effect in Earth’s climate. The second paper [2] introduces the concept of radiative forcing of climate change, examines increases in greenhouse (infrared absorbing) gases over the Anthropocene epoch and the resultant radiative forcings and describes climate system response to these forcings.
