Materials Data on Eu3Cr by Materials Project
Abstract
Eu3Cr is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Eu is bonded to eight equivalent Eu and four equivalent Cr atoms to form distorted EuEu8Cr4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent EuEu8Cr4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent CrEu12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent EuEu8Cr4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent CrEu12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent EuEu8Cr4 cuboctahedra. All Eu–Eu bond lengths are 3.68 Å. All Eu–Cr bond lengths are 3.68 Å. Cr is bonded to twelve equivalent Eu atoms to form CrEu12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent CrEu12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent EuEu8Cr4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent CrEu12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent EuEu8Cr4 cuboctahedra.
