Materials Data on Tl3In by Materials Project
Abstract
Tl3In is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Tl is bonded to eight equivalent Tl and four equivalent In atoms to form TlTl8In4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent TlTl8In4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent InTl12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent TlTl8In4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent InTl12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent TlTl8In4 cuboctahedra. All Tl–Tl bond lengths are 3.49 Å. All Tl–In bond lengths are 3.49 Å. In is bonded to twelve equivalent Tl atoms to form InTl12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InTl12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent TlTl8In4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent InTl12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent TlTl8In4 cuboctahedra.
