Materials Data on Ce3Dy by Materials Project
Abstract
DyCe3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Dy is bonded to twelve equivalent Ce atoms to form DyCe12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent DyCe12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent CeCe8Dy4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent DyCe12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent CeCe8Dy4 cuboctahedra. All Dy–Ce bond lengths are 3.44 Å. Ce is bonded to four equivalent Dy and eight equivalent Ce atoms to form CeCe8Dy4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent CeCe8Dy4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent DyCe12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent CeCe8Dy4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent DyCe12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent CeCe8Dy4 cuboctahedra. All Ce–Ce bond lengths are 3.44 Å.
