Abstract
Yb6H32(N2O13)3(NO3)2(H2O)4 crystallizes in the triclinic P-1 space group. The structure is zero-dimensional and consists of two nitric acid molecules, four water molecules, and one Yb6H32(N2O13)3 cluster. In the Yb6H32(N2O13)3 cluster, there are three inequivalent Yb sites. In the first Yb site, Yb is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine O atoms. There are a spread of Yb–O bond distances ranging from 2.33–2.79 Å. In the second Yb site, Yb is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine O atoms. There are a spread of Yb–O bond distances ranging from 2.32–2.67 Å. In the third Yb site, Yb is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to nine O atoms.
