Abstract
FeRhP crystallizes in the hexagonal P-62m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Fe is bonded in a 11-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Rh and five P atoms. There are two shorter (2.76 Å) and four longer (2.77 Å) Fe–Rh bond lengths. There are one shorter (2.38 Å) and four longer (2.61 Å) Fe–P bond lengths. Rh is bonded in a 10-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Fe and four P atoms. There are two shorter (2.26 Å) and two longer (2.44 Å) Rh–P bond lengths. There are two inequivalent P sites. In the first P site, P is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to six equivalent Fe and three equivalent Rh atoms. In the second P site, P is bonded in a 9-coordinate geometry to three equivalent Fe and six equivalent Rh atoms.
