Materials Data on Yb3Np by Materials Project
Abstract
NpYb3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Np is bonded to twelve equivalent Yb atoms to form NpYb12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent NpYb12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent YbYb8Np4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent NpYb12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent YbYb8Np4 cuboctahedra. All Np–Yb bond lengths are 3.65 Å. Yb is bonded to four equivalent Np and eight equivalent Yb atoms to form YbYb8Np4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent YbYb8Np4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent NpYb12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent YbYb8Np4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent NpYb12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent YbYb8Np4 cuboctahedra. All Yb–Yb bond lengths are 3.65 Å.
