Materials Data on CdIn by Materials Project
Abstract
InCd is Magnesium-derived structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P-6m2 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Cd is bonded to six equivalent Cd and six equivalent In atoms to form CdCd6In6 cuboctahedra that share corners with eighteen equivalent CdCd6In6 cuboctahedra, edges with six equivalent CdCd6In6 cuboctahedra, edges with twelve equivalent InCd6In6 cuboctahedra, faces with eight equivalent CdCd6In6 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent InCd6In6 cuboctahedra. All Cd–Cd bond lengths are 3.32 Å. All Cd–In bond lengths are 3.34 Å.
