Materials Data on KUSiHO6 by Materials Project
Abstract
KUSiHO6 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1 space group. The structure is three-dimensional. K1+ is bonded in a 7-coordinate geometry to seven O2- atoms. There are a spread of K–O bond distances ranging from 2.72–3.21 Å. U6+ is bonded to seven O2- atoms to form distorted UO7 pentagonal bipyramids that share corners with three equivalent SiO4 tetrahedra, edges with two equivalent UO7 pentagonal bipyramids, and an edgeedge with one SiO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of U–O bond distances ranging from 1.85–2.51 Å. Si4+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form SiO4 tetrahedra that share corners with three equivalent UO7 pentagonal bipyramids and an edgeedge with one UO7 pentagonal bipyramid. There are a spread of Si–O bond distances ranging from 1.62–1.67 Å. H1+ is bonded in a single-bond geometry to one O2- atom. The H–O bond length is 0.98 Å. There are six inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to two equivalent K1+ and one U6+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to two equivalent U6+ and one Si4+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to one K1+, two equivalent U6+, and one Si4+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted single-bond geometry to two equivalent K1+ and one U6+ atom. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 150 degrees geometry to one K1+, one U6+, and one Si4+ atom. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one K1+, one Si4+, and one H1+ atom.
