Materials Data on Sr2Zn3Te2(PO7)2 by Materials Project
Abstract
Sr2Zn3Te2P2O14 crystallizes in the monoclinic P2_1/c space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Sr2+ is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight O2- atoms. There are a spread of Sr–O bond distances ranging from 2.56–2.81 Å. There are two inequivalent Zn2+ sites. In the first Zn2+ site, Zn2+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form ZnO4 tetrahedra that share a cornercorner with one ZnO6 octahedra and corners with two equivalent PO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 76°. There are a spread of Zn–O bond distances ranging from 1.96–2.04 Å. In the second Zn2+ site, Zn2+ is bonded to six O2- atoms to form distorted ZnO6 octahedra that share corners with two equivalent ZnO4 tetrahedra and corners with two equivalent PO4 tetrahedra. There are a spread of Zn–O bond distances ranging from 1.95–2.61 Å. P5+ is bonded to four O2- atoms to form PO4 tetrahedra that share a cornercorner with one ZnO6 octahedra and corners with two equivalent ZnO4 tetrahedra. The corner-sharing octahedral tilt angles are 36°. There are a spread of P–O bond distances ranging from 1.54–1.58 Å. Te4+ is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to three O2- atoms. There are a spread of Te–O bond distances ranging from 1.91–1.94 Å. There are seven inequivalent O2- sites. In the first O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 1-coordinate geometry to one Sr2+, one Zn2+, and one P5+ atom. In the second O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Sr2+ and one P5+ atom. In the third O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted bent 120 degrees geometry to one Zn2+ and one Te4+ atom. In the fourth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to two equivalent Sr2+, one Zn2+, and one P5+ atom. In the fifth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 2-coordinate geometry to one Sr2+, two Zn2+, and one Te4+ atom. In the sixth O2- site, O2- is bonded in a distorted trigonal planar geometry to one Sr2+, one Zn2+, and one Te4+ atom. In the seventh O2- site, O2- is bonded in a 3-coordinate geometry to one Sr2+, one Zn2+, and one P5+ atom.
