Materials Data on In3Pd by Materials Project
Abstract
PdIn3 is Uranium Silicide structured and crystallizes in the cubic Pm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Pd is bonded to twelve equivalent In atoms to form PdIn12 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent PdIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with twenty-four equivalent InIn8Pd4 cuboctahedra, faces with six equivalent PdIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with twelve equivalent InIn8Pd4 cuboctahedra. All Pd–In bond lengths are 3.16 Å. In is bonded to four equivalent Pd and eight equivalent In atoms to form distorted InIn8Pd4 cuboctahedra that share corners with twelve equivalent InIn8Pd4 cuboctahedra, edges with eight equivalent PdIn12 cuboctahedra, edges with sixteen equivalent InIn8Pd4 cuboctahedra, faces with four equivalent PdIn12 cuboctahedra, and faces with fourteen equivalent InIn8Pd4 cuboctahedra. All In–In bond lengths are 3.16 Å.
