High-Efficiency Reversible Alkaline Membrane Fuel Cells
Abstract
The proposed project will explore oxidation-resistant alkaline membrane/ionomers and corrosion-resistant bifunctional catalysts to enable reversible alkaline membrane fuel cells (AMFCs). The project will for the first time demonstrate a reversible AMFC with greater than 50% RTE at 1000 mA/cm 2 without introducing any salts or bases in the aqueous feed.
