Energy Efficiency Requirements for Acquisition Professionals
Abstract
Federal agencies are required to purchase products as certified by EPA or designated by DOE’s Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP). The two programs cover different products, sizes and applications. These requirements also have an associated FAR clause, FAR 52.223-15. They apply to both energy-consuming products and services that use energy-consuming products.
