Feedforward Control For Extreme Gusts with Remote Sensing: Pilot Study [Slides]
Abstract
Our objective is to demonstrate feed-forward controller leveraging far-field sensing (i.e., whole-farm sensing as opposed to near-turbine sensing from lidar) that reduces likelihood of premature failure during extreme wind events as per DLCs.
