Bell’s Dodecants: An Architecture for How Technoscience Actually Advances

Abstract

In this talk, we discuss an architecture for what technoscience is and how it advances. We call our architecture “Bell’s Dodecants.” The name follows from its six mechanisms and two flavors for how technoscience advances, with Alexander Graham Bell an exemplar of a perspective, embodied in Bell Labs, of the balanced nurturing of all six mechanisms and two flavors.
