High-Field Quantum Diamond Magnetometers for Fusion Diagnostics (Final Technical Report)
Abstract
Summary of research performed to enable all-optical quantum diamond magnetometers for fusion diagnostics, including: the physical mechanisms enabling all-optical photoluminescence contrast as a function of magnetic field magnitude and direction for dense ensembles of nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers in diamond; the characterization and optimization of NV-diamond material; and related investigations and student training.
