Robust photocatalytic hydrogen generation from CdSe nanoplatelets
Abstract
Mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) capped-CdSe NPLs in-conjunction with a nickel-dihydrolipoic acid (Ni-DHLA) co-catalyst, yielded a robust output of photocatalytically generated hydrogen (H 2 ) at low concentrations of nanoplatelets. Furthermore, etching led to increased catalytic efficiency, suggesting that exposed catalytically active sites are primarily responsible for photocatalytic activity.
