Omega, the Ocean Model for E3SM Global Applications: A new high-performance computing code for exascale architectures
Abstract
Omega version 0, the first step toward a new ocean model, has been developed to take full advantage of next-generation supercomputers, including those powered by GPUs. Omega is rebuilt from the ground up, redesigning computational aspects of ocean models to run faster and more efficiently across diverse high-performance computing systems.
