We revisit standard arguments for hyperscaling of the spectrum when a nonzero fermion mass is introduced to a gauge-fermion theory which is conformal in the infrared limit. With some general assumptions, we argue that the induced confinement scale will be significantly enhanced near the edge of the conformal to confining transition. This enhancement can allow for the fermion mass to be arbitrarily small compared to the confinement scale. This scale separation may allow for apparent spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry within the conformal window, which may be of interest for construction of dilaton effective field theories in this regime.

The root-$T\overline{T}$ flow was recently introduced as a universal and classically marginal deformation of any two-dimensional translation-invariant field theory. The flow commutes with the (irrelevant) $T\overline{T}$ flow, and it can be integrated explicitly for a large class of actions, leading to nonanalytic Lagrangians reminiscent of the four-dimensional modified-Maxwell theory (ModMax). It is not a priori obvious whether the root-$T\overline{T}$ flow preserves integrability, as is the case for the $T\overline{T}$ flow. In this paper we demonstrate that this is the case for a large class of classical models by explicitly constructing a deformed Lax connection. We discuss the principal chiral model and the nonlinear sigma models on symmetric and semisymmetric spaces, without or with the Wess-Zumino term. We also construct Lax connections for the two-parameter families of theories deformed by both root-$T\overline{T}$ and $T\overline{T}$ for all of these models.

Resonant contributions in B 0 → D ¯ 0 D s + π - and B + → D - D s + π + decays are determined with an amplitude analysis, which is performed both separately and simultaneously, where in the latter case isospin symmetry between the decays is assumed. The analysis is based on data collected by the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The full data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb -1 . A doubly charged spin-0 open-charm tetraquark candidate together with a neutral partner, both with masses near 2.9 GeV, are observed in the $D_sπ$ decay channel.
An amplitude analysis of Λ c + → p K - π + decays together with a measurement of the Λ c + polarization vector in semiōleptonic beauty hadron decays is presented. A sample of 400 000 candidates is selected from proton-proton collisions recorded by the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. An amplitude model is developed and the resonance fractions as well as two- and three-body decay parameters are reported. The mass and width of the $Λ$(2000) state are also determined. A significant Λ c + polarization is found. A large sensitivity of the Λ c + → p K - π + decay to the polarization is seen, making the amplitude model suitable for Λ c + polarization measurements in other systems.
